Senior Security Researcher
(Smart Contracts)

As a Senior Security Researcher at Backcode Audit, you will lead end-to-end security reviews of highly complex, high-TVL Web3 protocols. You will be tasked with identifying critical mathematical vulnerabilities, designing sophisticated invariant fuzzing campaigns, and collaborating directly with elite protocol founders.

The Role & Responsibilities

Perform deep manual code review on Solidity, Vyper, and/or Rust (Solana/Cosmos) codebases.
Develop and deploy advanced stateful/invariant fuzzing test suites utilizing Foundry and Halmos.
Compose comprehensive, production-ready audit reports detailing findings, root causes, and mathematically sound remediation paths.
Conduct post-audit follow-ups and architectural security consulting for long-term partners.

Requirements

5+ Years of demonstrable, full-time experience in Web3 security, DevSecOps, or as a lead protocol developer.
Proven track record of finding High/Critical vulnerabilities in production (e.g., Code4rena/Sherlock leaderboard rankings, independent bug bounties, or prior Tier 1 audit firm experience).
Deep understanding of the EVM, memory management, DeFi primitives (AMMs, Lending Markets, Oracles), and cross-chain bridging architectures.
Fluency in English with exceptional written communication skills for technical reporting.

Bonus Points

Familiarity with Formal Verification tools (Certora, Kontrol).
Experience in zero-knowledge (ZK) cryptography or auditing ZK-rollups.
